Hi, my name is Shankar and I am a work in progress.

I am a writer, filmmaker, musician and podcaster who is trying to figure out where he fits in. I am a reflection of everyone that I have met. I write like my best friend from 3rd grade. I make coffee and toast the way a girl from college taught me. I love certain movies because I watched it together with my family.

The first time I wrote something was in 2002. I was 13 years old. It was a story about a clever rabbit who fooled a tiger. Let me be honest. It was the most terrible thing I have ever written or read. Though, back then I was so proud of it. Looking back, it feels like the best thing I did. I took the first step. I started writing. I did not know it would go on to define who I am.

• ✒️ I am the Co-Founder and Creative Director at Rambling Joint, a media production house based in Bangalore. I help companies enhance their brand value through the creation of impactful films portraying their vision. We specialise in corporate films, TVCs, documentaries, and short films. • 🎤 I used to host Writer & Geek, one of the top-rated history and documentary podcasts in India, with my brother.
• 📷 I am on Instagram and use it as a platform to quench my thirst for memes. You will find me posting pictures and videos of value, regularly.
• ❤️ Cold Brew Blogs is more than a blog to me. It is my portfolio, my life’s work that has helped me establish a career in writing.

Things you didn’t know!

• 📓 I had major issues with reading and writing until the age of 13. But then something clicked, I started my adventure of reading with Sherlock Holmes and the World Book Encyclopedia.
• 🎼 I am a musician who was part of many bands during my college days, with 🎸 3/4th Gravity being the most successful. We played alternate/progressive rock and used to be a regular fixture in the Bangalore music scene.
• 😫 I was in human resource before. The work was mundane, which led me to change the field.
• ☕️ I love coffee and have been on a quest to learn the skill of latte art with minimal success for the past 6 years.
• I have an undying love for John Mayer and 🍿 potato chips/French fries.
