College

In college’s fleeting span, memories softly bloom,
Three, four years, like petals in a room.
A decade drifts, and the details start to fade,
Faces in the mist, memories lightly laid.
From many acquaintances, a chosen few remain,
True friends endure, in joy or pain.
Some names linger, like a cherished song,
In the passage of time, connections strong.
Yet, in the hush of years, some friendships part,
A silent dance, etched on the heart,
Never to reconnect.
