Colonialism in India — Writer & Geek
If you don’t know, I host a podcast with my brother called Writer & Geek for the past three and a half years. It is a documentary podcast where we talk about anything that tickles our interest. From science to space and history to psychology, we have covered numerous topics and have over a hundred episodes in our catalogue.
Till March of 2020, the format was to select a topic, research on it and condense it into a 30 to 40-minute episode. But we have always wanted to create a series on something where we would select a topic and go in-depth about it and let it span a few episodes. And that resulted in the Colonialism in India series. It is an ongoing series where we have presently completed eleven episodes on various parts of the history of occupation of India by different colonial powers and the impact it has made on the culture, politics, religion, geography and economy of India.
