The echo of laughter in an old photograph,

A sepia-tinted dance with moments long past.

The scent of childhood summers, warm and sweet,

The pitter-patter of rain on the old, familiar street.

The well-worn pages of a forgotten book,

A dusty attic where time has come to a crook.

The taste of grandma’s fresh fried fish,

A melody that makes the heart sigh.

Chasing fireflies on a twilight eve,

The soft rustle of leaves when the winds weave.

The crackle of cassettes on a tape recorder,

A portal to moments we can’t afford to neglect.

The echo of a first love’s name,

A bittersweet symphony, never quite the same.

The ripples in the pond where wishes were cast,

A journey to the moments that forever last.

A gentle whisper from days of old,

A timeless embrace, a story to be retold.
