What is Shield Finance?
DeFi, with its attractive rewards and noble goal, is still as risky as it was at inception. Hacks, scams, and rug pulls are frequent, and users still have to remain vigilant when investing in anything DeFi.
Shield Finance was created to lift that burden off of DeFi investors and traders with DeFi insurance. With its proprietary aggregation engine, Shield Finance provides custom coverage packages for investor needs. Think of Shield Finance like the Skyscanner for DeFi insurance; users can see and select offers from multiple insurance providers on the same platform for a small fee.

Shield Finance will launch on Ignition with the $SHLD token. The $SHLD token enables governance and provides staking rewards at 30% stable APY for token holders. However, the most important feature of the $SHLD token is the “buy & burn” program. Every quarter, Shield Finance redirects 50% of fees generated by users to buy the $SHLD token on the open market & burn it, which results in a permanent reduction of supply.
