We have already discussed the magic of creating your digital office space for reaching the productivity peak. However, we haven’t paid enough attention to setting a mega-convenient offline environment.

Our team is here to tell you which appliances will help build productivity and achieve goals faster!

1. Adjustable Desk Height

To think less about what position to sit in and where to put your hands, you need to equip a comfortable workplace.

With a table that you can adjust in height, you don’t have to sit all the time. This will relieve possible back pain, allow you to change the position without being distracted from work, and feel more refreshed after the workday..

2. Ergonomic Chair

For those who certainly love to sit on a chair all day, ergonomic chairs compliment the form of the human body. You will not be distracted by physical inconvenience and will focus entirely on work tasks.

Nevertheless, we advise you to get up from your chair sometimes — keep the blood flowing and warm-up! ;)

3. Adjustable LED Lamp

Even if you have good natural lighting, it will be challenging to work without a lamp in the evenings or when it’s cloudy outside. The optimal choice is a modern energy-saving LED lamp. Here are some tips on finding the right one for you:

  • The lighting of the table lamp should not be too bright and should cover the entire surface of the table.
  • The device must be adjustable in height and in the direction of light.
  • The surface of the lamp should not reflect light and glare.
  • Choose a neutral, laconic design so that the lamp does not distract attention.

In addition to the main light source, you can also use a multi-coloured lamp, creating a cosy atmosphere- should that be your thing.

4. Clock and Timer

There are two extremes when it comes to time and work:

  • When you are so absorbed in tasks that you cannot take a break for lunch, and sometimes forget the workday ended two hours ago.
  • When you get sucked in by social networks, playing on your phone, or something else that makes you take a long break from work.

That’s why it’s a good idea to have at least a clock on your desktop. If there isn’t room for a stand-alone gadget, train yourself to pay attention to the time on your phone or computer.

For those who want to get the most out of their productivity, we recommend looking for a timer or clock with this function. Choose timers that can be set for up to 60 minutes. Then try the Pomodoro technique, where you need to work for 45 minutes, and devote 15 minutes to rest.

5. Calendar

How often do you find yourself wondering what day it is? We can bet that this is not uncommon when you work remotely.

Of course, everyone has an application on their phone, but the advantage of a wall calendar is that it’s always in front of your eyes and you will not forget anything. Don’t allow yourself to forget the important upcoming moments.

However, we do not recommend writing all your tasks on the calendar. Apps with reminders and planners work better for that.

6. Planner

Unlike all of the above, the planner can be either regular (paper) or digital. There is no difference, except that you save trees if you choose an app. :)

Its task is to streamline activities in your to-do list to ensure tasks are done on time. The Collabio Spaces’ app has a template for a list of tasks. Fin your details and go forward toward your next victories!

In any case, write down all tasks in the planner — from the smallest to the largest and ambitious ones, with the difference that you set deadlines in the foreseeable future for small tasks.

7. Desk Organiser

Fortunately, there are now many inexpensive organisers for papers, pens, pencils, and even wires!

It’s time to say ‘Goodbye’ to clutter and put all the things on the desktop so that your hands don’t hit the keyboard wires while you use the mouse. This is not the case if you use wireless devices, however, the workplace will look much nicer if all the office stationery is in one place.

8. Wrist-Rest Set for Keyboard and Mouse

People who work with computers every day are more susceptible to a specific disease — tunnel syndrome. Feeling pain in your wrist after working with a mouse for a while? Don’t ignore the warning symptoms — it is better to prevent trouble than to deal with the consequences.

Special pads will help prevent unnecessary strain on your hands. By being in a natural position, the nerves in the wrists will not be pinched, saving you from problems.

Vertical mouses are also an alternative to these pads. Unusual at first glance, they are really comfortable and relieve the symptoms of tunnel syndrome!

9. Noise-Canceling Headphones

Even if you are alone in a room, noise from the street or neighbours’ renovation work can be distracting and even maddening! Noise-cancelling headphones will come to the rescue and relieve you of this problem. Enjoy your favourite music, catch the stream, achieve the best results!

However, if you are a fan of working in complete silence, then buying earplugs is a good option.

10. Water

A healthy adult needs about 35 ml of water per day per kilogram of body weight. Yes, water will make your brain work better! And so as not to waste time on endless visits to the kitchen, take a bottle of water with you.

Why not a glass or a cup? It’s very simple — you don’t want to flood the keyboard with water, and even worse — a brand new MacBook! Therefore, special bottles with protection against such cases are the best solution.

11. Plants

The green color in psychology means growth, development, prosperity, stability and new beginnings. And this is not just fortune-telling — this is how our subconscious works!

In addition, plants produce oxygen and delight us with a beautiful appearance. The main thing is not to forget to water them! ;)

12. Pets

If you work from home, then you probably know how animals cheer us up and remind you to pause from time to time. Also, cute and furry pets relieve stress well; stroke a purring cat on your lap or go for a walk with a dog and let the worries go.

13. Air Purifier

If you live in a big city, houseplants won’t do the job of cleaning the air on their own. Gadgets come to the rescue. Your brain needs oxygen to function better, which means that an air purifier is a must-have in every home office!

14. Photos or Pictures

Have you already made your workplace ergonomic and comfortable? Now is the time to make it cosy! Hang your favourite or sentimental pictures on the wall, at the table or on the desk.

But don’t get too carried away! A large abundance of pictures and photographs will only distract, so it is important to know when to stop.
