EU funded AMable aims to make new manufacturing technologies available to SMEs to enable them to create new products and generate new business models while saving them time and cost. The AMable platform is trying to provide smaller firms with unbiased access to knowledge of 3D printing processes.

AMable platform is providing the right of ownership, enables inventors to protect their rights in the data generated in the production of a product, particularly 3D designs.

3Dprinting forecasts say still represents less than 0.1% of global manufacturing, which is currently valued at $12.7 trillion. If 3D printing manages to capture just 1% of that market — a scenario that is possible according to many industry experts — then it can reach annual revenues of $125 billion. This is five times greater than even the most optimistic 5-year forecast. Large enterprises are making their first steps towards small-scale production and mass manufacturing with 3D printing. The size of these markets is 10 to 100 times larger than prototyping, opening up new opportunities for growth.

Italian Society of Authors and Editors (SIAE) said it partnered with blockchain firm Algorand to develop a copyright management platform, because it enables artists and musicians will get a transparent view of their works being used by someone, and the platform will keep track of the royalties they would receive.

Blockchain is being seen as the perfect match to protect intellectual property owing to its incorruptible structure. In copyright management, a blockchain network decentralizes the sharing of data based on mutual trust. It breaks down data siloes, which are easier to hack and modify.

ByteDance and Chinese state media group established joint venture to explore AI and blockchain applications. The joint venture will focus on partnership in the digital rights of short videos.

The partnership with the state media group will add to the controversy surrounding Bytedance, since Two U.S. senators Chuck Schumer and Tom Cotton triggered the review over concerns that the platform was collecting user data and whether China censors content seen by U.S. users. As a result, ByteDance is apparently trying to ringfence the TikTok app from other operations.

Copyright is necessary to be protected with secured network and ownership management.
