We’re less than two weeks into the Kandy-MyDevices Virtual Pajama Hackathon and there are still great projects pouring in! But — before we get to those, let’s talk about how people from across the globe are working together on hackathon projects. That is the beauty of a virtual hackathon (aka one where you can wear your pajamas all day)… all you need is a computer and some inspiration. Hackers from India, the U.K., U.S. or anywhere else can collaborate — because in the virtual world and on Collaborizm, there are no boundaries.

Our Latest Submissions: You can still join these teams!

A) Kandybot

Ok, so you know how people predicted that robots would one day do everything for humans? This project shows how that prediction is becoming reality. You can control the Kandybot from an android app, which enables you to control the movement of the robot’s body and its grippers. Too lazy to get off the couch to turn off the lights? Don’t worry, Kandybot has got you covered.

B) Raspberry Pi Video Calling

This submission enables senior citizens to easily connect with technology by leveraging Kandy technology. I don’t know about you, but this project has a special place in my heart because I am constantly on-call, assisting my grandparents with their computers and cell phones — a project like this could get me off the hook and make grandma and grandpa happy too!

C) The Kandy Home Bot

The Kandy Home Bot would be useful to anyone with a smartphone and a home — lots of people!. This bot enables people to use their smartphones to see what’s going on at home when you’re not there! In addition to the safety aspect, this bot can talk to people in your home and receive guests because it will be connected to the doorbell — ok, I want one now!

D) Stan’s Neuro Headphones

Stan’s Neuro headphones intake signals from your brain, send those signals to your smartphone, which then send back signals to the headphones in order to change your mood. In case my description wasn’t clear, here’s an image and a video explaining how the headphones work!

These are just four of the many projects already uploaded to the Hackathon page. You can still join any of the projects and they can be found HERE. This is not just any normal hackathon, it’s a part of the Collaborative Revolution, and you can be part of that while wearing your pajamas!
