Preparation for an industry-wide disruption starts now

In 2014, French multinational insurance firm AXA launched Start-in, an internal innovation program that aims to identify innovative ideas within the group and bring to market as quickly as possible those with the potential to improve its customers’ experience. The program is open to 160,000 AXA employees worldwide.

To help drive that innovation, Collaborne CEO Moodi Mahmoudi works with AXA’s executive board and business leaders, offering industry insights, best practices, experience, thought leadership, and a look at design thinking’s ability to sculpt the future of the world’s number-one insurance brand.

“Companies like Uber, Airbnb, or others have transformed the way we live,” he said. “Companies like Booking.com have transformed the way we travel. Companies like Facebook have transformed the way we relate to our friends and family.”

The insurance industry will undoubtedly also be redefined in the coming years, Mahmoudi said. With the Start-in program, AXA aims to prepare for that disruption, allowing it to play a leading role in defining tomorrow.
