One limitation I see with Grofers model is that they have to constantly innovate and improve their process in onboarding suppliers (with out sourcing capabilities) within customer’s neighborhood to meet or exceed the SLA(deliver within 2–4 hours)to deliver products to customers.

There is also risk of some products being not available from the neighborhood kirana stores of customer. Sourcing the ordered product from a different stores and delivering to customer might have the risk of not meeting the claimed SLA, there by losing customer to a competitor or perhaps the customer might decide to visit the neighborhood stores in cases of urgency.

The neighborhood stores might offer better discounts or perhaps can try to establish direct relationship with customers and leverage whatsapp, text(SMS) modes to reachout and get products delivered there by replacing the need for Grofers service.
