Dear JSConf Colombia Community!
It’s been a while since our last update. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes and are finally ready to share our progress. Get ready for the grand finale of JSConf Colombia! It’s been a wonderful journey together these past ten years, and now it’s time to celebrate our incredible moments.
Before we jump into the fun stuff, let’s get you up to speed on the event details:

La Última y Nos Vamos
Let’s gather in Medellín, Colombia, and make some unforgettable memories together. “La ultima, y nos vamos” is our motto for this farewell party, and it perfectly captures the spirit of what we’re about to experience. At the farewell party, we’ll celebrate everything that has made JSConf Colombia so special. It’s a time to honor our achievements, share stories, and have a blast. Trust us; you won’t want to miss out on this inconceivable celebration!
Why it’s the Last Event
We’ve accomplished all the goals we set out to achieve and more, so we have decided to conclude JSConf Colombia. From the beginning, our mission was to foster and showcase speakers from Latin America, catapulting them onto the global stage. We aimed to set the bar for inclusivity and accessibility in events, showcasing a different face of Colombia and building a thriving local community.
We believe it’s time to open space for new generations of community organizers who will push our communities further in their own unique way. A sign of a truly thriving community is when many events for similar technologies can exist simultaneously. While we may not have reached that point yet, we have faith in those who will come after us.
As we say goodbye to this event, we will celebrate its impact and gracefully fade into the sunset. We believe that other vibrant communities will emerge to fill the void and make us proud. The torch is being passed on to the next wave of community organizers, who will take the baton and create new and exciting opportunities for everyone involved.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to each one of you who has been part of JSConf Colombia. Because of your support, passion, and dedication, we have achieved everything we set out to do. Together, we have made a lasting impact and created something truly remarkable.
As we prepare for the farewell party, let’s reflect on our shared journey, celebrate our accomplishments, and look forward to the bright future ahead. Thank you for being part of this incredible adventure.

Call for Proposals: Share Your Ideas in our Final Stage
Do you have a talk idea? We want to see it! We invite you to join JSConf Colombia’s 10th anniversary and final edition. Submit your talk proposals, whether you’re a seasoned speaker or a first-time presenter. The call is open from June 1 to July 31, 2023.
