In late 2019, Officer Rhue was patrolling the Stetson Hills Division when he received a Motor Vehicle Theft in-progress call at a local convenience store. During his search of the area, he was advised by CSPD dispatch that the vehicle was seen at a nearby apartment building.

When Officer Rhue responded to that location, he observed a male suspect leaning into the stolen truck. The suspect refused to comply with verbal commands and fled on foot. Officer Rhue pursued him and took him into custody after a lengthy pursuit.

The commitment to service that Officer Rhue displayed on this call falls directly in line with our Chief’s vision of responsiveness, excellence, humility and honor. He received a commander’s commendation for his efforts that reflect positively on the reputation of the department.
