I’m tired

Today I got all of my cards and packages ready to mail. The cookies are finished. The laundry is almost done drying. The shopping is done and everything is put away. I even did an extra 30 minutes on the recumbent bike and took a shower. I got so much accomplished. But I still see everything I haven’t finished and I’m ready for my day to be done. I have to decide if those will be on tomorrow’s list or am I going to get some of them done tonight before bed? Is today complete?

I am enjoying listening to the fan on the fireplace as it blows warm air into the room. I’m really proud of myself for keeping the fire going all afternoon and evening, especially because I was gone for a few hours today. The chunk of wood I chose lasted the whole time I was gone. I feel like I am finally getting the hang of keeping a fire going so I am warm. I like being warm.

It feels good to see the boxes all stacked up ready for me to mail in the morning. I feel satisfaction knowing I can connect with family and friends again. I don’t always. But this year I am and I am grateful.
