We’re happy to announce the creation of the Columbia University Blockchain Lab! This student run lab was founded with the mission of creating a space on campus dedicated to educating and developing the next generation of blockchain enthusiasts, decentralized application developers, business analysts, and investors.

Blockchain technology is likely to be one of the most disruptive technological innovations of our time, having the potential to touch and revolutionize many aspects of our lives. For this reason we’ve structured the lab to interact with this technology wherever it arises. We will be focusing on four key aspects: education, technical product development, research, and investments. This fall, we will be kicking off a blockchain and cryptocurrency workshop series that will cover everything from a beginner friendly introduction to blockchain technology to hands on dApp design & development with Solidity. We hope this will allow people to learn about blockchain regardless of their background or interest. Above all we aim to create an interdisciplinary community on campus centered around blockchain and its many developments. Help us partake in the broader blockchain discussion and leave our footprint on the development of this profound technology!

We invite you to attend CBL’s kickoff event where we will offer an overview of the lab’s upcoming opportunities and give a quick intro workshop to blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. For more information checkout our Facebook page, and head to our website to signup for our newsletter. If you want to start learning now, we’ve compiled a resource document to help you start your journey.
