Social distancing has kept things, well… distant, even for some lovers. What does it feel like to be apart from your partner at a time like this? Here, couples forced apart by the pandemic share the difficulties that come with romantic isolation, and offer up creative ways for keeping a relationship alive, from the Netflix party application to dog TikToks. Dr. Armando Fuentes, a clinical psychologist in Queens, N.Y., contextualizes the mental space in which separated partners may find themselves.
