Assignment 3
UK promises to take in 20.000 Syrian refugees

Responding to the ever increasing number of Syrian refugees trying to make their way to Europe on foot, the British Prime Minister David Cameron visited one of the largest Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon today.

Cameron met in the Bekaa Valley with some of the Syrian refugees that will be resettling in the United Kingdom.

Although Lebanon holds more than 1 million Syrian refugees and Germany is expected to receive 800,000 asylum seekers this year, Cameron stated that Britain will only take in up to 20,000 Syrian refugees over the next five years.
