FEAR NOT

FEAR NOT
“Fear Not” is mentioned 365 times in the Bible, sufficient for each day of the year. Fear is a common end time phenomenon these days breeding anxiety or and nervousness. That makes worry a byproduct though they are all nasty ones playing us around like a football, sending us in circles, causing depressive states and suicidal thoughts.
Before we can sort things out by our minds, therapy, counseling etc. the first best remedy God prescribes and works best is to “Be Still” in the storm and leave it to God. When we can do nothing but only panic, just yielding it all to Jesus, knowing He is the pilot at the wheel of the ship of our lives and being His, God is watching over us day and night as the apple of His eye. But our senses are so focussed on the problem that we get into a box. We need to get out of our boxes, letting go and letting God Almighty do His work. Bible says that with the breath of His lips, the Lord will slay the wicked evil forces that come against us seeking to make inroads into our lives.
Reading scripture aloud works like fiery dart against darkness. Reading promises of God calms our souls. Crying out aloud to God in the name of Jesus acknowledges that we believe He lives, reigns and is our help and hope. God runs to those in need as a mother runs to a crying baby.
Whatever we do, the best part is to ‘be still’ knowing God is in control. He knows He sees, He hears and will woŕk through the Holy Spirit, command angels to our help and work sovereignly too. There are no techniques, more than faith which is in the assurance of God’s love for us.
Allowing fear to breed is dangerous for it eats up our peace, kills our joy etc. Turn to God just as you don’t doubt the electricity when you put your hand to the switch, or you don’t doubt the water in the tap. What about oxygen in the air and umpteen technologies we trust even as simply sitting in an airplane trusting the pilot and the aircraft systems?
God is everywhere in everything, among everybody. The difference is do we believe in His person, goodness, His power and loving care; and call upon Him?
The Word of God says, “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved(delivered).” Jesus came, conquered and is alive with all power in heaven and on earth to help us. HE IS FOREVER WITH US and FOR US. The Lamb of God sacrificed for our sins, has us covered with His blood and His robes of righteousness. He is the roaring lion of the tribe of Judah watching over His people.
Leaving our thoughts, our wisdom and our ways and just humbly trusting God like a little child greatly honors Him.
Fear not, be of good courage; the Lord is with us, has gone before us, and is our rearguard too.
You are in a good powerful, loving company. God is a mighty fortress around us.
Hallelujah! Amen!
Fear is anathema to a child of God. It’s like one pebble in the ocean that’s God, who through Christ has destroyed the devil who through fear of death has kept people in bondage.
The address of God to us as we stand still is, FEAR NOT! YOU ARE MINE!
Glory be to our awesome God whose ways are unsearchable, who is only always good toward us in our Blessed and Beloved Lord Jesus Christ.
Hallelujah! Amen!
