Comic Bits #1

Every week, Terrence (@SageTerrence), Kellen (Peter Parker) & I (Lynx) will give y’all little reviews of our favorite comics that drop on Wednesdays. If you follow us, you may notice that 67% of our tweets/posts are about comics anyway, so if you need guidance on which comic to buy this week, no better place to look than here.

All Star Batman #3

What an issue…action, blood, new gadgets and small reveals…Batman has a lot to deal with during his ongoing travels with Two-face. The writing in this issue is consistent (Scott Snyder is penning this book so there was little doubt that it wouldn’t) detailing the grueling path Batman took taking Two-Face to their final destination. Duke appearing in time is only furthering his status as a formidable hero in training (Batman refuses to call him sidekick) as his training is showing wonders throughout each book he’s placed in. The writers have done a good job inserting Duke as a mentee as each mission/trial he partakes in, gives him a lesson that readers can easily follow. The villains are only getting better and better with each issue, KGBeast is no slouch, he brings the violence needed to bring the best out of Batman (Bat-Knuckles FTW). The next issue, All Star Batman #4 will be released on November 9th. — Lynx

Uncanny Avengers #15

The Unity Squad is broken, Steve Rogers no longer being the leading member of the team. The Unity Squad consisting of majority of its Mutant members (Rogue, Cable, Quicksilver, & Deadpool), Including Johnny Storm, Dr. Voodoo and Synapse gather intel on the whereabouts of Bruce Banner’s Corpse which were stolen by The Hand. As funny as that sounds, “The Hand” is a secret organization of Ninja’s that are just downright evil. When they reach Tokyo, Japan they meet up with Elektra, who instructs to blow up a building that Deadpool happily proceeds to do so.

After cleaning house with The Hand, The broken Unity Squad find Bruce Banner’s body, little do they know the Acolytes were using Bruce’s body for other purposes. Find out in the next Issue of Uncanny Avengers #16! — Peter Parker
