Greetings True Believers, first and foremost i do want to take the time to apologize and say: WE HAVE BEEN ABSENT DUE TO LIFE, It Happens.. We haven’t kept our word on our consistency due to college, work, and other schedules occurring in our lives but without further adieu Let’s talk comics for this week of 12/28/16:

Let’s talk about Civil War 2 #8

Now as you all know, i refuse to sit down and bash content without reading it first. I don’t have a ton of acquired taste and i definitely don’t go out of my way to try to be different to read outside of my current comfort zone and box, but i’m going to ask you to not count that against me as a comic critic. I read comic books for the simple gesture of Pleasure, an escape from my current reality around me, and apart of a list of hobbies that keep me on track. So for anyone that has the audacity to ask me: “Why do you like everything?” Well it’s pretty simple, I APPRECIATE EVERYTHING.

Let me just dive into this quick review.

Civil War 2 has been a roller coaster of “Profiling”, “What in the sam hell is going on?” & and last but not least.. wait for it….. Yeah, Marvel messed up their release timetable on yet another story arc. As mad as that makes me, i would’ve loved to see the new solicitations after the eighth issue of the series. But there’s nothing i can really do or say but just take it like a man and say that: this story did not really impact us readers as it did the Marvel universe.

  • The All New, All Different Avengers Squad has been damaged by Ms.Marvel, Nova, and Spider-Man(Miles Morales) breaking away from the group and forming their own group with Young Cyclops, Amadeus Cho AKA The Totally Awesome Hulk, & Viv (The Vision’s daughter) known as The Champions. But The Avengers Group reformed from the Aftermath of Civil War 2 causing Spider-Man (Peter Parker), Hercules, And The Wasp, the remaining members of Captain America (Sam Wilson), The Vision, and The Mighty Thor (Jane Foster)
  • The Uncanny Avengers (Unity Squad) which was formed after Avengers vs X-Men has been disbanded due to a secret mission without Steve Rogers acknowledgement which consisted of Deadpool, Cable, Rogue, Captain America, Dr.Voodoo, Johnny Storm, Quicksilver, & Synapse. After the fallout, a group named The Hand stole Bruce Banners body and tried to reanimate it, but when word got out the Unity Squad jumped into action and handled the situation accordingly, in turn causing Bruce to finally be at peace. (If this is the last we’ve seen of Bruce Banner then what a crazy way to go if you ask me)
  • The Inhumans have lost Ulysses to a higher plane of existence meaning he’s probably at the club sipping Margaritas with the Celestials, but also The Inhumans are at War with the X-Men due to their ill-fated Terrigenisis cloud shrouding the earth. The X-Men have taken matters into their own hands and have decided to put their foots down after the Events of Death Of X. Cyclops has died from M-Pox which threw me off. But now the big wigs of the Mutant population have pulled their punches for too long and have decided to take action.

Ramifications, Ramifications…. Civil War 2 taught us all a lot of Moral lessons once again. But not as many as the first Civil War. This Series isn’t mediocre but it isn’t as Quality as the first. This Civil War has shown us that probability within predicting a possible future with the Fifty-Fifty chance of this and that happening show’s that Carol Danvers went out of her way to do a good job of protecting the possible future. Tony Stark on the other hand, his scientific mind sent him on a conquest to prove that Ulysses can be wrong, and he has.

What through me off in the eighth issue is that Marvel decides to let Ulysses become a Celestial due to the accession of his powers…. What? That’s it? No climactic turning point? He’s not going to turn evil? That’s it? After the gruesome battle between Captain Marvel and Iron-Man, Tony gets blown to smithereens and manages to live. Beast and Carol sit in one room while they place Tony in some sort of healing tube but with a twist and a turn we discover that Tony has altered his body for him to keep himself alive. We discover this new Solicitations such as Mighty Avengers and Infamous Iron-Man, and Invincible Iron-Man that Tony isn’t dead, he’s asleep. Ramifications, Ramifications.. The issue also unveils certain spoilers and images of what’s to come of the Marvel Universe which i won’t discuss here until you read the current issue.

Whatever Marvel, have it your way.. Now that this War is over, We have other things to look forward to, Most importantly the Inhumans vs X-Men story arc.

I’m signing off for this week.
