BadFuture: a new blog exploring the effect of technology on culture
I’m moving my tech posts to a new publication.
The history of humanity has been shaped by the technology it uses.
The plough, the loom, the printing press, computers, smartphones and AI: they have all had a profound affect on the history of our species.
Not always a good one.
Or, at least, not an easy one.
Transition is difficult. The biggest challenge of technology is not always the way we use it but the way it uses and changes us.
BadFuture is a publication exploring the way technology changes the cultures in which we live. It’s a place where I’ll be decoding my thoughts on new emerging technologies and products, with a focus on the consumer markets. I want to figure out how these things influence the way we think and interact with each other.
I’m creating a separate publication for these ideas as part of my reorganisation of my homepage — to keep my different interests a little more separate from each other.
Fingers crossed, it will help me get my thoughts in order as well.
Hope you enjoy the ride.
