Which Ladder Are You Climbing?

Once we start to commit to both the asking and answering this question, and to think more deeply about what we are actually aiming for and where we actually want to go, three things happen:

Alignment. Different pieces of your personal and professional life slowly started to sync up and align in your favor

Revelations. The elements of your life that no longer served you start to reveal themselves in a very clear way

Power. You begin to fully embrace (and exercise) the right that you have to, at any time, choose again and choose differently

Ask yourself these questions to help identify your ‘ladder’:

When you’re thinking about making a change — or even when you’re not:

What do you want more of? What motivates you? What do you want to be known for? What’s not working for you?

When you’re starting a new phase in your life, like a new job, new relationship, or even a new year:

How do you want to feel? How do you want to make others feel? What are you best at? What do you want to know more about?

When you’re starting a new week:

What are you most excited about for this coming week? What would make this week ideal? What was the best part about last week? The worst part?

When you’re starting a new day:

How do you want to feel today? What would make today great? What do you want to say no to today?
