You can find a lot of information online about e-Residency. There are different reviews, opinions, promises, success stories, and advice available. It’s not easy to filter what’s true and moreover, what kind of information is applicable to your concrete situation.
There are people who say that they love e-Residency. There are thousands of success stories. There are (a few) people who say that e-Residency is a scam. The variety of opinions has many reasons, for example, the background of the people and their needs, what promises they have been exposed to, and so forth.
It is possible to collect all the key information in advance to avoid any negative surprises. You can’t make a shallow research. Like looking at a picture of a bicycle on Amazon, see that it is very cheap, and click order without learning the specs first. Only to realize that it’s a kids’ bicycle once it arrives at your doorstep. You’d be disappointed and likely to think that the seller scammed you somehow.
It’s the same with the e-Residency. You first need to understand what it is, what can you do with it, to who it is meant for and to who it is not meant for, and what are the expected costs. That’s all you need to know to make your decision and understand if it makes sense. You would need to do the same research if you would start a company in Singapore, Hong Kong, Latvia or the UK.
