As I was looking at different news stories I came across one named “French ‘Spider-Man’ Alain Robert Climbs Heron Tower in London.” I have an undying love for Spiderman so I had to click on it. Unexpectedly, this article actually has some Ideology in it.

This man climbs super tall buildings all over the world with just his bare hands…for fun…who knows why. When I read this story of Robert climbing a building more than 750 feet high my first reaction was, “well everyone knows that isn’t a very safe or logical thing to do.” By me doing this, it was an act of ideology: unconscious ideas that make up our beliefs. I’m sure a lot of other people read this article and had a mom moment of thinking “dear God, that is not safe, don’t let him die.”

Alain Robert climbing New York Time’s Headquarters which is over 750 ft. tall.

Another ideological aspect of this article is the fact that this man committed a violation of disorderly conduct. There were probably people sitting at their desk on the 35th floor witnessing this man outside their window and immediately got distracted from their work. There were probably people at the base of the building standing in fear and some in amazement instead of getting to their job on time. Whether they know it or not there is ideology in that situation of them thinking the thoughts they have about how this man is committing a violation and more importantly risking his life.

Politically this act is unacceptable and we all know it base upon these unconscious ideas that have been put into our head as our beliefs. On an emotionally scale as well this would be ideological because as a reader or witness you know that climbing 800 feet buildings for fun is not really the best or safest hobby to have.
