The New York Times titled, “ Beckham Says He Has Grown Up. Just Look at Shirt”. New York Giants wide receiver received a max contract that listed the highest paid wide receiver in history. New York Times news source condemned Odell in a way to congratulate him on his earnings. The writer quoted Odell Beckham Jr on his his max contract as he was happy to be apart of the New York Giants. The source of New York Times showed celebrating pictures to honor his football skills as a reporter quoted, “But he came in with the right attitude,” Mara added. “His energy level has been off the roof. He’s done everything we’ve asked him to do. We feel good about having him on our team for the next five years.”

The source USA Today titled “Why Odell Beckham is worth every Penney of his contract”. In the article it describes other quarterbacks salary as if they are trying to portray Odell Beckham success is not worth what he got for his contract. The article stats, “Odell Beckham is not a quarterback, so it’s fair to ask whether he — or any receiver for that matter — is worth money typically reserved for the most important position in the sport.” More comments in the article show Twitter post of a list of quarterbacks salaries that are well close to Odell Beckham contract. Pictures are not shown of Odell Beckham success. It demonstrates statistics of earnings of different quarterbacks and other positional players that they think are “more important “ than a wide receiver. The article is basically questioning if Odell should be really worth as much as he got.
