Most people will recognize Snoop Dogg for his notorious music, but the famous rapper stars in the latest Netflix original series Coach Snoop. This series is a unique documentary of Snoop Dogg away from the microphone and on the sideline of his youth football program. This is an interesting side of Snoop Dogg that we’ve yet to see. Most people know him from his long history of rap and marijuana use. Although there is a part where Snoop openly advocates the use of marijuana, he also talks about how “Coach Snoop” is an alter ego of his where his drug use is non existent in order to set an example for the middle schoolers that he is coaching,

Snoop Dogg’s goal creating this organization is to save kids in the inner city from turning to a life of violence and gang affiliation. We see multiple cases of kids escaping these situations as some of the parents of the kids talk about how they were wrapped up in gang affiliation at a very young age and has stayed with them their entire life.

This show consists of predominately African Americans and hispanic people. The only time that a white person made an appearance was if the other team or the officials were white which wasn’t often. Needless to say that this was very diverse and is a must watch to see a unique side of Snoop Dogg
