For last week, I’ve read about Medium new membership plan, should we subscribe? How can titles matter to what you are doing and your future path? What is the hardest thing to learn for a UX designer? Let’s have a look at my thoughts, and you can read them further.

Planning is Guessing by Jason Fried

Not matter it’s called “planning” or “guessing,” don’t over think about it, start working something now!

There’s nothing wrong with guessing, dreaming, or predicting, but it’s not planning.

So next time call a plan a guess and just get to work.

No matter what’s it called, planning/guessing is always good for you to step out your first step!

Join the BuzzFeed Product Design team! By Tom Harman

BuzzFeed is hiring now! After my idol Cap Watkins join them, I always wanted to join their team too! Here is the article about what they are looking into and they also shared about the hiring process. The hiring process is one of the hot topics nowadays, and I’m glad that more and more company are making it transparent so that everyone has a chance to work with company/people they like. Going to polish up my portfolio and send a resume to BuzzFeed team soon. 🤞

Things you need to know before you pay the $5 to Medium.

Titles are Important by Dan Mall

I feel uncomfortable too when people said: “Titles don’t matter.” And this is never come out from a fresh or mid-level position people. As long as the title matches on what you are doing, then it will lead us to a better conversation with others that are in the same context.

Titles are extremely important in our work.

Add a “Senior” or “Junior” in front of one of their titles and the conflict clears up almost immediately, because everyone knows who to look to for answers by default.

Your title also defines your scope of responsibility.

It also serves as shorthand for what your next job may be and a roadmap for your career path.

The Hardest Thing in UX Design by Alastair Simpson

Designers not only need to polish up their design skills but also need to train more on soft skills like convince the design thinking and the importance of user research. It’s not easy to learn it over the night, so that we must always observe how the senior designer or manager persuade people, for sure it will become your most valuable lessons and then practice it always. Keep it up! 👍✨

The hardest thing any designer will have to do, is to actually convince the rest of the team or their company of the importance of really investing in user experience and design in the first place.

This is not a test: Google Optimize now free — for everyone

Never tried this tool before but it looks easy to use! I have roughly go through the Google Optimize, the interface is very similar to Google Analytics, and I don’t find it is hard to learn. Awesome tool for UX designer for doing A/B testing, happy optimize! 🙌

The lovely website I like!

Joe Coleman is a freelance copywriter, and he has well played his skill on his personal portfolio website. I’m never enjoying sliding and reading a website like this much before. Super well done and hilarious. For sure this will stand out among others. Is time to think about mine too. 😅
