Commercium (CMM)

Before we start, just to be VERY clear, Commercium does not plan to ONLY be an electronic cash platform. The larger goal for Commercium, as financial services, investment, and planning platform is not only a store of value, but a means to grow and cultivate that value for future generations. That said, in order for this to be feasible, one must have the means to use this as an exchange of value. With the CMM main net having been up and running for 7 months, we’ve achieved a stable environment for business to transact in. The second part of the ecosystem, Ethereum based CMMX, is coming along nicely and the main net should be released at the beginning of Q4 2018.

Now, despite CMM not being digital cash on purpose, it sure helps businesses save time and money. First and foremost, the transaction fees are minuscule. Even if CMM was valued at $100, each transaction would only cost about $0.05. In that hypothetical scenario, it’s less than a .02% fee to conduct business.

On top of that, you get your exchange completed nearly immediately, not after a centralized authority reconciles their accounts or a clearinghouse pays out on their schedule, all the while, these facilities are taking their split as well as giving merchants little recourse for any possible charge-backs.

In addition to this, the blockchain explorer combined with some clever coding could facilitate an easy transition into bookkeeping. The benefits list continues and varies based on the type of business. I am really looking forward towards finding more creative ways to integrate this front end interaction with the rest of the CMM ecosystem.

That said, let me show you what I bought and how easy it was!

For those of you that aren’t aware, I am a miner. So 100% of the CMM used for purchasing this item came from mining. I spent approximately 11,000 CMM on this custom handmade piece of Japanese Calligraphy. I have it displayed on the wall in my home office. Hopefully, someday this can be CMM’s version of the Bitcoin Pizza, but I will always have this, instead of possible indigestion from the pizza.

“Actions Speak Louder than Words” by Eri Takase of www.takase.com

The Commercium shop plugin was built on the WooCommerce platform. We were able to get this plugin up and running and installed on our guinea pig shop, www.takase.com and the install went smoothly.
I wanted to be the first to test this out. If any CMM was going into the void, I wanted it to be mine. I am not a coder and so I had no ability to certify this app. Faith was deferred to as I trusted the team to accomplish what they set out to do. I want to personally thank this community member again, Issa/Kai, for having faith in the team too!

I love the way Japanese calligraphy looks. When The site owner said they would be willing to test the plugin, I was thrilled. While browsing the site I saw this scroll and knew I had to have it.

“Actions speak louder than words”.

You can choose from over 100 preset sayings, haikus or provebs. You can even have your own custom scroll made. Perhaps you want to verify your tattoo artist gets their Kanji right on your work, so Eri can draw it up for you, and add a distinct flair to it as well!

I immediately added it to my cart and on the checkout page, I was given the option to pay with Visa, MC, Bitcoin or other altcoin or Commercium. I liked that Commercium showed up as a SEPARATE form of payment and not as an altcoin. The team seems very serious about the ecosystem and hope someday it is synonymous with the aforementioned heavy hitters.

Checkout can be accomplished via sending funds from your desktop, web or electrum wallet. QR code support is on the to-do list for the official CMM mobile wallet.
Once I hit the purchase button, I was sent to a page that detailed the rest of the transaction requirements. I used Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V on the address and amount to pay from the website and plugged it into my desktop wallet.

Since CMM transactions are so fast, vendors can have 20 confirmations in the same time it takes Bitcoin to have just ONE! We are really excited about sharing this first step of at least 100 more on the stairway to the fully functioning Commercium ecosystem.

I urge you to join Discord and ask for help in the vendors’ channel.
You will not only gain assistance within 24 hours, but you will also be able to gain exposure for your business to our list of over 1,250 followers, with the list growing daily.

Our guide writer @PostJok is currently writing the full guide for this setup process which should be done soon. In the mean time, if you are familiar with these things, feel free to get this going on your own. Again, I urge you to join Discord and ask for help in the vendors’ channel if you wish to get this started on your own.

In closing…

Artists for years have been placing their vision on their target medium since the dawn of humankind. Originally, berries, ash and other items were smashed into a pulp and smeared across cave walls to depict daily life. Today, anything from paint on a canvas to keyboards furiously and meticulously caressed into beautiful code, is considered art, and it has been a part of humankind forever. The constant desire for ones need to express their culture, views, feelings and ideas and the others desire to consume these displays of creativity are ever present. When art speaks to you, it is beautiful and moving. That is why we are proud to say that Commercium has taken their first step, one of MANY, towards opening the full commerce ecosystem with our first vendor to accept CMM for payment.

Thank you for supporting the project!
