Which Standards Am I Talking About?

ELA/Literacy, mostly reading, mostly high school.

One constant problem in the discourse about the Common Core Standards is getting people to specify which ones they’re talking about. The Math and ELA/Literacy standards are very different. Some issues are mostly applicable to lower grades, some the higher ones.

So, to be clear, what I’m going to be focusing on here is ELA/Literacy, mostly reading, mostly high school. I don’t know much about elementary literacy, and I know enough about math instruction to know I’m not an expert.
