It Feels Like Trump’s Presidency Has Turned a Corner
Austin Frank

Yes, Trump seems to have finally gotten his act together.

However, that doesn’t change some important facts. He is the least popular president at this stage of his term in history. He does not have the backing of his own party. His campaign manager (Paul Manafort) was a Putin puppet and one of the most corrupt people in history.

He continues to be perceived as one of the (if not the) most incompetent politicians in the history of the world. It is not even clear to me whether he has the best interests of his own supporters in mind when he wakes up in the morning.

Not unlike autocratic regimes he places his own family members in key roles…

Where do I stop? I can go on and on.

I agree that Comey should have been fired by Obama long time ago, last fall. I agree that Obama should have spoken out about Russian interference. We have to remember, however, that it as Trump who reached out to Russia to hack he DNC. It was Trump that hired Paul Manafort.

So, no, the Russia issue is still here. Trump just happens to be handling it more professionally.
