Announcing: CommonLit is now a Premier Partner of Google for Education

Washington, DC — CommonLit, a free online reading program for students in grades 3–12, is excited to announce it is now a Premier Partner of Google for Education. CommonLit’s partnership is centered on its Google Classroom integration that makes roster and assignment management a breeze for busy teachers.

CommonLit’s mission is to ensure students have the reading, writing, and thinking skills they need to be successful in college and their careers. The free online reading program is used in over 60,000 schools. Over 70% of the schools CommonLit serves are Title I, low-income. These schools value free, high-quality tools, like CommonLit and Google Classroom, to ensure students receive exceptional materials with no added teacher sticker shock.

For teachers who use many tools in the classroom, Google Classroom serves as an important central hub of student learning. That is why CommonLit integrated with Google Classroom. The reading program is also Chromebook-compatible, making for an even better student experience.

With CommonLit’s newest updates to its Google Classroom integration, teachers can import classes and quickly roster students, share CommonLit assignments as classwork, and export grades from CommonLit to their coursework and gradebooks. CommonLit’s integration cuts the noise in roster and assignments management and lets students get back to learning, and teachers back to teaching.
