⌛ Trusted Seed memberships are up for renewal! For those who activated in 2021, it’s time to renew ⌛

Are you a Trusted Seed member? We would like to thank you for being valuable members of the Trusted Seed in 2021 and for supporting our mission of creating microeconomies contributing to public goods.

Let’s look back at the benefits that the Trusted Seed members received in 2021:

The Trusted Seed members were eligible to participate in the closed Hatch of the TEC — the first Commons to deploy the Commons Stack patterns — and in the launch of their token economy.
The Trusted Seed members were invited to claim IXO tokens from ixo when they became Earth State members.
The Trusted Seed received $GIV tokens and all past and future membership payments will be subsidized by the GIVeconomy.
Trusted Seed has started gaining traction as a seed round co-vestment club, one that funds and facilitates purpose-driven community economies.
In 2021, the Trusted Seed was selected to receive several airdrops from different projects in our ecosystem (in the end, of greater value much more than the membership amount paid in dues).

Our reputation as a membership organization of social and impact-driven individuals is growing rapidly, which means we expect there will be much more to come in 2022.

It’s Time to Renew

As the month of March ended, we would like to remind you that your Trusted Seed membership is up for renewal!

According to the Terms & Conditions of our membership program, your annual membership contribution expired on March 31st. If you’re still deciding whether or not to renew, or just haven’t gotten around to it yet, we have granted an extension period to pay the renewal dues:

The new deadline is June 30th. In addition, a special POAP will be given to the first 50 Trusted Seed members who renew!

To renew your Trusted Seed Membership, visit the Commons Stack Dapp (450 DAI by June 30th, 2022).

*This is applicable to those members who activated their Trusted Seed memberships in 2021.

Benefits of Membership Renewal

You will have special access to upcoming Commons Hatches, giving you the ability to fund and govern future Commons economies and participate in their collaborative economic decision-making.
You can decide which community will receive The Commons Prize and support from Commons Stack to launch their own Commons. We’re excited to share more details about this very soon!
You will benefit from our “legal shield”, one of the primary benefits of the Trusted Seed membership. You, as a member, are entitled to CHF 10,000 which will cover your legal expenses if issues arise in your participation in future approved Commons/DAOs.
You will automatically earn $GIV tokens when you renew your membership.
You can continue to support building out our open-source library of tools — such as the Augmented Bonding Curve and Conviction Voting — used by purpose-driven communities united around public goods.

Drawbacks of Non-Renewals

Trusted Seed members who choose not to renew their membership will have their membership terminated on July 1st, 2022. Your current reputation score in CSTK tokens will be recorded in our registry and the tokens will be burned.

Don’t worry, your CSTK score is recoverable. The Commons Stack team will keep track of your CSTK score off-chain for when you activate in the future. This includes CSTK earned through praise! When you renew your membership, your previous amount of CSTK tokens will be restored and you will be able to enjoy the full benefits of being a member of the Trusted Seed again.

To renew your Trusted Seed Membership, visit the Commons Stack Dapp by June 30th, 2022. Yearly membership dues are 450 DAI. Any additional dues above that amount will increase your CSTK score.

Need Financial Support? Apply for a Scholarship!

Are you interested in renewing your Trusted Seed membership but don’t have the funds available to cover your membership dues? You can apply for a scholarship! Our scholarships will be available upon request. If financial challenges are holding you back from renewing your membership, please apply for a scholarship using this Typeform. The application will be reviewed and a decision will be shared!
