My Moncur Life in 30 Days

When asked by one of Moncur’s Sr. Copywriters, “What is it about Project Management that you like the most?” I replied, “Actually, it’s the often-unmentioned part of the position, team management.”

I’ve managed projects and produced media/entertainment across several industries over the years, and my fondest moments have always been ones that have involved some after-the-fact, campfire-side storytelling with the team.

Through the lifespan of the project, you all become like family or a close net of friends, having had laughs and having had tensions. That is part of what makes the family-feel happen — exposing both our good and bad traits. It is in this aspect that I have learned that not only does the team usually grow in some shape or form, but so do I. And in the years I’ve been doing this, there is the one thing that continuously evolves, and that’s the evolution of self and the evolution in others.

There is nothing more rewarding in my life than to watch us all become greater than what we set out to accomplish, and that’s an everyday occurance here alongside the Moncur team. We arrive one way and grow to be a better self through the work we do with our clients, and with the individuals we get to know.

Henry Ford said it best, “Coming together is a beginning, staying together is a progress, and working together is success.”

Steve Jobs also once said, “Great things in business are never done by one person. They’re done by a team of people.”

With that said, I decided to take on the challenge to capture short snippets of 30 days at Moncur and make a time lapse of our team here at Moncur. It’s not the best video quality, as I filmed on the fly with my android smartphone. But none-the-less it’s about capturing the sweet spots in a day of the team here at Moncur.
