In our digital age and media filled society, we have completely evolved into being technology dependent. There are always new developments of technology devices such as the iPhone. The Apple Company has many updates and is on a continuous roll of selling products to eager consumers of any new type of technology. In particular, we are very reliant on our cell phones which most our lives revolve around. It is apparent that we feel complete with our cell phones because it is our main form of communication.

Without having our cellphones in our possession we may feel incomplete. When we have our cellphones and technologies in our possession we are happy and satisfied but on the contrary, when our technology device is broken we may panic and become upset.

This glitch art shows two phases of emotions toward technology. A cellphone and also a broken cellphone represent technology. The cellphone glitch art is critical to the amount of dependence on technology and society’s unstable behavior without it. The cellphone glitch art critically and visually explains the amount of dependence we have on technology and society’s instability without it.

Today, our common attitude toward using technology especially our cellphones is lively. We are always enjoying the different apps on our cellphones and laptops. The glitch of the working cellphones shows bright colors which represents our feelings of happiness and enjoyment. There is also a variety of movement of the lines which depicts our active and upbeat nature of using cellphones.

When our cellphones or laptops are not working properly or we do not have access to them, we tend to panic and are not as happy without it. The glitch of the broken cellphone is gray and black with no excitement of color from our attitude. The glitch lines are also straight which reveals the unhappiness our society would experience without technology.

The absence of technology would most likely upset and destroy the needs of everyone in our society. Our society has evolved into a technology dependent place and the impact of using it affects our attitude, the way we feel and how we interact with others. The media has a strong influence on us and it could possibly take over our lives.

As a result of analyzing the message that our society is having too much dependence on technology, we can reflect on ourselves and individually acknowledge the amount of reliance we have on technology.
