THE PROFILE OF MUGENYI BADRU

Mugenyi Badru was born in May 1995 in Kasanda Mityana district. He was born in a family of 6 children by Mr Kakooza Hassan. He lived his early childhood in Mityana together with his sibling. Badru loved his motherland and native language to the extent that he only speaks Luganda and English and he has never travelled beyond Buganda Land.

He went Bbanda r/c primary school for his primary level for 7 years until 2008. He joined Kiganda high school his O’ level and A’ level. After scoring highly in his A’ level and emerging as one of the best students in Mubende district, he was given a government scholarship to student Journalism and Communication at Makerere University.

He is now finalising his course which will be ending in May 2020. During his third year of study, he did his internship with Buganda Broadcasting Services Television (BBS Terefyna). Being in a class of Luganda since primary level to University, he has been able to write and publish a Luganda book titled “Okuwummula” which he presented to the class. He has done a number of class projects like “ promoting the International East African Electronic passport in Uganda”, “an integrated marketing strategy of promoting a new product (Bee Lotion) on the Ugandan Market” and he is currently working on “the impact of marketing strategies in the productivity of an organisation (Startimes)”.

While in vacations and holidays, Badru has always been a hardworking person by engaging himself in the causal work ( He started working in Owino market since 2012 to cater for his own pocket money. read more

While at Makerere University has been instrumental in in-class activities outside the classroom. For example, he takes part in the sporks activities where he represents his class in Football.

Mugenyi Badru has a dream has a dream of becoming an entrepreneur in Uganda with large firms in the country.
