The genesis of any community starts with the people

The world we inhabit is brimming with a plethora of vibrant and complex communities. Most are in physical spaces, and some are online. As the world rapidly and viciously changes, we should focus on forming fortified communities that possess foundations that are built to last. We will surely need community as the world we live in continues to deteriorate and crumble.

What does community mean to you? How would you define it? What would your community look like if you had the chance to build one?

Despite the state of the world, we are not lost or despairing. We can start working on how to create what we need: a community that feels like home, filled with amazing people who care about us. How do we achieve this towering and enormous objective? How do we know where to start, who to work with, and what we need? These are questions that Communities Evolving seeks to find answers to. This platform will pen articles discussing individual and communal growth, lessons learned from online discourse as well as offline experiences, personal narratives on life lessons (with an aim on teaching those lessons to others), and many more pensive writings people can benefit from.

Whether one is a community member or a community leader, I aspire for everyone to benefit from this publication. We cannot know what communities we need if we do not know ourselves or each other. I hope this space aids every reader in finding themselves, developing self awareness, and learning to become brave enough to look in the mirror and say “I’m proud to be someone’s community member”.

Let’s thrive and grow together. I look forward to meeting all of you through our journey on personal evolution and community building.
