“Everybody has a path in life. Every decision leads back to one thing-the Lord.”

—Sam Robin.

Sam Robin ignored a very influential calling in his life for a long time. The calling of the Lord only grew stronger within Robin. While the calling of the Lord was growing immensely, his newfound business was crashing down and the loss that he faced was exponential. Through this all, the Lord helped heal his brokenness. After an almost fatal car accident, Robin recommitted to the Lord. He had previously committed to the Lord when he was 13 years of age. He made the Lord his savior once again just a couple of days before his wedding. A couple of days before he got married, Sam got into an almost fatal crash. This is when he accepted the Lord as his savior again. After fasting and a lot of prayer, he finally accepted the Lord’s calling-his ministry. This ministry evolved into The Christian Messenger. Sam started this ministry in 2002 and has been serving Jesus Christ full time since 2008. He said that he is still only a journalist by training, but he also has another ministry called Messenger Missions. His wife, Elsy Robin, the co-founder of The Christian Messenger and Messenger Missions, also accepted Jesus at a young age to be her savior. Sandra and Steven are the Robins’ two children. The family lives in Chennai, India, formally known as Madras, India.

Chennai, formerly known as Madras, is located on the southeastern coast of India and is the capital of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. This is one of the largest tourist areas in India. It is known for the Hindu temples, museums, and its beautiful beach. It has a total population of 6.4 million people with a literacy rate of 80.14 percent. These people will tell you about how wonderful their town is in the most enthusiastic way possible. The official language spoken here is Tamil, but many other languages are spoken as well. These languages consists of English, Hindi, Urdu, and Malayalam. The religions known throughout are Hindu, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, and Jainism. The Christian Messenger is the way that Christian Chennai residents are able to stay connected to one another and see the different events that are happening.

The Christian Messenger is a fully online newspaper in India. This newspaper has many different areas of interest. These areas consist of news in India, interviews, news from across the world, missions and opinion.

This newspaper is so unique because it consistently keeps a focus on the Lord. Even in the large events, such as hurricane Harvey, they find ways to focus on the work that the Lord has done. It gives the facts of what happened to Texas during Harvey, but also added in links to other articles that they are about prayer and questioning everything that has happened.

The two linked articles are helpful to the Harvey situation because it explains how even though the event was devastating, God is there and has a plan in place. In every article, the author puts in a little bit about the power of prayer and the wonderful ways that God has helped the situation. The interviews are about the ways that the Lord has helped changed many people throughout the community.

Robin wanted to get the word of the Lord out to the public and share the incredible ways that He has helped the people. Robin helps the people of his community see the events going on, the ways they can help honor the Lord, and the people who are working on those changes.

The opinion section consists of the vast amount of ways that praying or seeking God can help make you and/or your business thrive, examining the prophecy closer, and how times are changing but God is still with everyone of us.

The authors of this section help the readers see how they are able to accept God into their lives, feel His unconditional love, and express it to others.

In fact, that is what the entire newspapers mission is: They are here to help those who need the Lord, have the Lord, and are seeking for the Lord. To support the ministry, you are able to send money through money orders, net banking, direct bank transfers, and a check. This is just like many American churches. Unlike the vast majority of American churches, when donating, you can specifically tell the ministry what you would like your money to go toward. Whether it is planting, creating prayer cells, or donating to get the prisoners a better religious experience, they will put your money toward that specific area.
