Our community commerce network startup Pollen is now hiring ! We’ve going live now with our first communities in Malaysia and Singapore and looking to grow our team. We have opportunities based in KL, Malaysia with future available space in Singapore and for the right candidates remote.

Send me a message to connect on Linkedin with what position you are interested in to apply

For developer’s you can also apply here

We’re looking for individual leaders and not positions or workers.Meaning if you have a personal connection to our mission of spreading commerce and helping more people earn side income we want to hear from you! Sorry, no third parties ( recruiters and dev shops, sure we can work more with you guys in the future but we are inhouse/direct only).

The ideal candidates should have an interest in:

  1. Early Stage startups (1–10 employees).
A history working at an early stage startup or looking to join one.

2. Social Enterprise
Previous volunteer work or personal interest in helping organizations that do good.

3. Shopping Innovation.
Both buying and selling.

Every day more and more people are in need of side income and the need to democratize side income earning opportunities has never been greater.

Imagine a future where your efforts are directly helping people live a better life off the earnings they can make from the communities they already are part of, and in which the earnings and incentives can be shared.

Some of the questions you may be curious about include:

How can I make selling products I don’t own easier ?

If I was going to help my family, colleagues, classmates sell, what would the seller experience need to be to cater for this diverse audience?

What can we do to let people sell anything and anywhere both offline and online?

Let’s start a conversation today.

Bonus: anyone that contacts us regardless of opportunity or if we reach agreement we’ll send over a free discount code on your first purchase from any seller on Pollen.

Development Opportunities

Community Architect (CTO or VP Engineering level)

You might be a CTO, technical lead, or VP of engineering at an early stage startup

You want to lead development using whatever framework and tech stack you know best and for what’s best for our customers.

You are interested in mobile first products, fintech or ecommerce and want to try working on something brand new.

You’re equally versed in coding as you are in working with heads of product, business, recruiting and managing junior developers.

Pollen believes that community commerce is driven by mobile, and as such you should be comfortable working with apps (native/html5) and app integrations.

You should also be comfortable trying new services and experimenting with both large and small providers of APIs that can help our network.

Community Developer (Director or Manager level)

You are focused on one thing, and that’s building a great product. You enjoy working independently, but also have experience working in SCRUM and teams as needed.

You may be comfortable working on a single framework or platform, or perhaps a polymath who likes many things and curious to try new frameworks.

At your current job, you may have hit a ceiling of creativity or want to invest your time building something you can help shape from the start.

Instead of being told to build this or fix this, you’ll be asked to think about why haven’t we tried this, or how about a new approach.

Design Opportunities

Community Designer ( HIRED !!!)

Perhaps you’re a UI designer who enjoys UX, or a front end developer who used to focus on UX, or all of the above.

Design is that center of all community commerce, from promoter flyers and offline sales materials, to the selling process on mobile and online.

We’re looking for designers who have a passion for working across platforms and formats.

Marketing Opportunities

Community Manager

You already are well versed in most social network advertising and selling, and spend your free time surfing instagram and facebook.

Well online is important, you are not shy to network in person and meet and host events.

You take our slogan of ‘spread commerce’ seriously so much that others get annoyed.
