Sure, chatGPT is the best assistant in terms of content generation, especially if it comes to texts like posts, copies or articles.

The new hype about custom GPTs made me think, that people will create GPT for writing entire articles. And what is the most important thing about it? Of course, SEO!

I started browsing the web and yes, there is a lot! But they give you a small amount of information, that isn’t enough to decide which GPT is the best for you and lots of them give zero value. Also, some of them are worse than the original chatGPT.

How to find the best GPT

I wrote down some aspects that are visible to me and I can evaluate them:

  • Author of GPT — experience, website quality, other GPTs, etc.
  • Conversation starters — The good starters mean that the author had some thought about it and spent some time, so there is a higher chance of valuable GPT
  • Title — I was searching for titles and descriptions which include “seo”, because as I said earlier, it is the most important part

Using these criteria I chose some (9) GPTs and tested them to find out which is the best and I will present to you the best 4 of them. Let’s dive in!

Note: To check the SEO score of GPT-generated articles I used the seoreviewtools. I am not confident in the efficiency of this tool but it looks nice and it is the best I found for free.

I have tested all of them in a similar way. I will provide the SEO score and part of the content for each, but first, let’s review the testing strategy.

Testing process

I used the same prompt for each one:

Write a small article with a title: “Game of Thrones Decoded: Analyzing the Masterful Storytelling and Characters”

If GPT didn’t give a full article, I used to remove it from the list (except one). If it did, The full article usually looks like this:

Then I made a screenshot of the first part and Copied the output in https://www.seoreviewtools.com/content-analysis/ tool to get the score.

If the score was less than 40, the same here — GPT fails.

#1 Blog Content Writer

Description: “Your go-to AI for crafting engaging, SEO-optimized blog content.”

Score: 56

This GPT gave a short, easy-to-read article which needs some tweaks to become a masterpiece!

#2 Blog SEO Expert

Description: “Crafts professional SEO-friendly articles in multiple languages.”

Score: 42

It is written in a more structured way and feels like a computer-generated text 😄

#3 ArticleGPT

Description: “Expert in SEO articles, web research, and content analysis.”

Score: 56

It returned more efficient output, with some headings and subheadings. It is the best match if you need small and engaging articles.

#4 Article Writer

Description: “Friendly, versatile blog article writer with thorough research.”

Score: 56

This GPT returned a nice draft of the article’s structure at first:

Sure, it was a bad sign, but I had a feeling it could do more. So, I asked to write an article with this outline:

It wrote only an introduction but quite a long one, and asked, do I needed some updates or if I could proceed to the next section. I answered to continue and the same for every single section:

After I collected all the parts of the text, it took a pretty good score:

So, it is the best match if you would like to write more detailed and longer articles.
