Ben Cook

Ben Cook is a documentary and fiction film-maker. He is a driving member of the 12.01 Project, a production company for social change that creates high-quality investigative documentaries and provides the tools necessary for viewers to take action. Ben’s documentary work has covered environmental crisis and restoration, mental illness, social housing, women refugees, aids awareness, and biographies of artists and charity workers. In a fiction film capacity, he is also the co-founder of The Film Liberation Project a film & visual arts collective, aimed at demystifying the ‘doing’ and breaking down barriers to art.

Dr Alastair Michael Smith

Alastair is a vocational academic. He has researched and taught at a number of the UK’s Russel Group universities and has also worked in the North American Higher Education sector. Deeply dedicated to structural transformation in pedagogy he has significant experience of inclusive and radical educational design at a number of levels, including the pre-university, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels, including for Executive Learners. Alastair’s published research spans pedagogical innovation and has provided seminal commentary on the impact of environmental stressors on global social stability. Alastair has also worked as a trade union organiser and caseworker, making significant discoveries and taking Whistle Blowing action regarding labour rights violations in the UK.
