Hi Antrea. Welcome to HR Innovate. Tell us about yourself.
Hi. My name is Antrea Fotiou and I have recently joined HR Innovate as an HR & Recruitment Consultant. I’ve studied Psychology (BSc) at the University of Leicester, Health Psychology (MSc) at DeMontofort University and after returning back to Cyprus, I decided to continue with an MSc degree in Human Resources Management & Organisational Behaviour at CIIM. Having worked in HR for the last 3.5 years I have come to realize that there are areas of the profession that are more close to my heart — like CSR and Recruitment. Why recruitment? As mentioned, having worked as an internal HR for the last 3.5 years, I have made enough calls saying “Hi, good news, there is an employment offer for you…” and in 99% of the times, the way candidates were responding, was making my day — just like I was making theirs :)
Why did you choose to join HR Innovate?
I chose to join HR Innovate as its values and culture match mine. Katerina was also a huge contributing factor as she is what I would call a Leader. That, along with the fact that HR Innovate does a lot of CSR, were the deciding factors to join this firm. After long conversations, we both knew that it was the right choice.
Just for fun… if you were an animal, what would you be and why?
I would have been any type of Felidae (cats) — maybe a cheetah or a black panther? They are after all the ultimate hunting animals — perfectly created to be the ideal hunters. Plus, very independent creatures :)
Where do you see yourself in 5–10–15 years?
Probably, running my own business. If not, working at a firm that has the same values as I do. Being happy in my work-environment and with what I do, is extremely important to me.
What contributions do you hope to add to the HR Innovate team?
I am hoping to contribute to the overall improvement of the company’s performance and growth. Also, I’m hoping that I will contribute to helping HR Innovate protect the environment by trying to go green-ER :)
