Hello, Mr. President!

This week mySidewalk announced its participation in The Opportunity Project, a White House initiative intended to expand access to opportunity for all Americans by putting data and digital tools in the hands of families, communities, and local leaders. mySidewalk participated in the program by taking on projects for both the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Office of the Surgeon General (OSG), working with the DOT to make transportation information more accessible and useful to community leaders around the country, while its project with the OSG focused on equipping parents and community leaders with tools to measure emotional well-being levels in their communities.

mySidewalk’s Nick Bowden and Stephen Hardy, along with industry leaders like Uber and Fitbit, visited the White House to help kick the project off.

How does your community compare?

Click*…*Click*. Ah–the sweet sound of comparing one community to another in just two clicks. Using Location Snapshot, a newly released mySidewalk feature, you can now instantly compare your project area to another.

Simply sign in, select “View Location Snapshot,” and then “Add a Geography.” mySidewalk will instantly compare your project area to any other place you choose (including counties, school districts, cities, and zip codes).

For more information about comparisons, read this article or log into data.mySidewalk.com.
