My name is Dakota Malone & I co-founded Community Solar Authority.

For the last six years, we’ve helped large users of electricity unlock available commercial solar incentives through our brokerage with some of the most significant developers in the country.

Recently, we’ve launched a solar development company of our own as a way to vertically integrate our business model, enhance the value we provide our clients, and continue towards our mission of streamlining clean energy deployment.

This article goes further into how we serve with on-site solar development.

Who We Serve

Landowners

Farmers, investors, trusts & everyday landowners have the opportunity to take advantage of the clean energy transition.

We’ve seen farmers retire, families secure their land for generations, and people get fair deals to lease their land for clean energy generation.

There are multiple programs like community solar and utility-scale solar farms that can be placed on raw land, and in exchange you can receive passive income for hosting the site.

Municipalities

Cities are trying to find way to lower costs, enhance sustainability, and build additional revenue.

We often start with community solar rollouts, which is an off-site solar solution, for our municipal clients as a way to get an easy win for them.

Yet, with the demand of increased sustainability, we now deliver on-site solar solutions to our municipal clients too.

Big Businesses

Corporations, C&I clients, and large commercial properties are seeking similar benefits as well.

On-site solar can lower electricity costs and help them improve operating profit. We can also set up solar leasing, similar to landowners, for those organizations that have large, flat rooftops.

From malls to industrial parks to manufacturing sites- we’re looking to build our pipeline of development projects into these sectors.

Conclusion

Choosing to start a solar development company came as a result of consulting alongside some of the best in the business anyway.

We began co-developing projects and getting all the expertise needed to launch our own shop, and so we did.

We’re still leveraging the resources from some of the best solar developers in the US, and together we deliver a maximized ROI in the clean energy economy.
