What is it we do?

SmartAgent is a software solution for call centres to provide better support to their customers through automated chatbots and improved agent platforms.

A lot of customers contact retailers asking questions about their order that can be easily answered, but instead have to wait on hold or wait for email replies. With the technology we have built, we provide automated responses to these questions, whether over the phone or on their site.

Building solutions like this involve working directly with clients, designing the customer flows, building a prototype, testing, deploying and maintaining the system.

We currently run chatbots for JD Sports, Size, Scotts, Blacks Millets, Tesutti, Go Outdoors and First Travel Group and more that are not yet live! In total, we’re handling over 200,000 chats a month.

We’re an Amazon Web Services partner meaning AWS are actively supporting us, sending us customers and keeping us up to date with the latest things on AWS.

We’re located in Rawtenstall, about 30 minutes north of Manchester City centre.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for people to fill two main positions:

Senior FullStack Developer

Someone who has worked as a team or project lead and is happy to support a group of mid and junior developers. You’ll be guiding one of our product or customer teams, designing new systems whilst continuously improving our current services.

You should have a good understanding of system architecture and microservices, but also enjoy owning a project and taking it from crazy idea to working prototype to customer facing product.

Mid/Junior Developer

Want to learn to deploy a serverless app for multi million pound companies?

Fancy working on one of the largest chatbot systems in the world?

If you want to work as part of a fast paced team, building innovative solutions to our customers problems then SmartAgent might be the company for you.

Technical Requirements

• JavaScript (ES6+)
• React
• Node.js

Bonus Skills

• Typescript
• Git
• CI/CD
• AWS or cloud computing experience
