Science and Politics

In what is I think the worst decision ever made by them, the editorial staff at Scientific American has chosen to a political candidate this year. It doesn’t matter who they endorsed; the problem is that there was an endorsement at all. In a year when partisan divisions are deeper than they have been in a long time, an endorsement by any scientific magazine only contributes to the deepening of those divisions. Worse, it makes science itself…
