Composable Finance appoints Eoin Whelan as Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Composable Finance is thrilled to announce the appointment of Eoin Whelan as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As a well-versed blockchain and crypto professional, Eoin has extensive experience operating, scaling, and raising capital in the DeFi sector. Prior to joining Composable, Eoin actively built financial infrastructures, models, and effective relationships with investors for several blockchain and technology-driven companies. In addition, Eoin’s experience in go-to-market strategies and executions at an international scale is a great additional asset and will play a key role in our growth and expansion plans at Composable Finance.

Industry expertise for scalability and sustainability
Eoin is a qualified accountant and tax lawyer. He holds an undergraduate degree in accounting and a Master’s degree in business and finance. Eoin had an early career as an international tax and M&A accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). He later went on to hold a leadership role in BDO, where he advised international corporate clients. Following BDO, Eoin led the finance transformation team at EY Ireland for 3 years where he successfully grew the business by 10x. Eventually, Eoin’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to become the CEO of a tech start-up focused on digital loyalty for brands and airlines where he successfully raised 5M euros and was responsible for heading a team of 35 people. This startup was sold after 3 years under the leadership and direction of Eoin. Following his exit, Eoin obtained over 5 years of experience as a C-level executive for a number of DeFi, NFT, and blockchain-related projects.

Eoin will work in close collaboration with our executive team and concentrate on building sustainable plans for the implementation of product strategy and services in Composable. With this in mind, Eoin (CFO) and Jeffrey Smith our GGC will combine their expertise to ensure Composable Finance’s ambitious vision is sustainable and actualised. Both Jeffrey and Eoin have extensive experience guiding successful blockchain and digital asset projects through international corporate structure planning, scale strategies, and capital raises in terms of tax, legal, and compliance best practices.
