Compound v1 Deprecation Schedule

Last week, Compound v2 was successfully launched. Users have begun repaying their borrowed assets, withdrawing assets from the legacy protocol, and migrating to Compound v2.

Over the next few weeks, we will begin to sunset the legacy protocol. For planning purposes, the tentative schedule of how we will manage the transition is as follows:

  • On or around the week of June 3rd, new Borrow transactions will be disabled in the v1 protocol; Repay transactions will continue to function normally
  • On or around the week of June 3rd, the legacy web interface will have Supply and Borrowing functionality removed; Supply transactions will still be operational in the v1 protocol, and community-developed interfaces
  • Supply, Withdraw, Repay, and Liquidation transactions will work in perpetuity
  • As Compound develops new price feeds, the v1 protocol may be upgraded to use the new price feeds
