We released our decentralized and distributed Computes beta on March 30, 2018 (w00t — 1 day early) to 537 registered developers and the feedback received to date has been fantastic! (In fact, there are over 100 new developers in queue for the next release!)

It’s always exciting to see how developers will leverage a new platform especially one as powerful as Computes. The use cases that we have seen to date have all included some form of AI (artificial intelligence). This is not surprising since Computes allows AI algorithms to run anywhere (cloud, on-premise/enterprise, and on edge networks) — basically where ever your data resides or initiates.

Vertical markets have included bio/life sciences (Parkinsons, genetics, and genomics research), IoT and AI on the Edge in manufacturing, and driverless vehicles meet smart city infrastructure (vehicle-to-vehicle communications, toll bridges, parking meters, etc).

If you are in our Beta queue already or simply curious to learn more about how Lattice (our decentralized and distributed queuing technology) works, here’s our Getting Started guide to preview.

At this time, we are addressing bugs reported by Beta testers as well as developing a new browser interface to monitor the decentralized queues and drill into the tasks within to see their input, output, and log files associated with each task. The next major milestone will be adding metering to our decentralized platform so that you will have visibility into how many computations were performed or in queue at any given time.

More news on these developments coming soon! Since Computes is decentralized, there is no additional infrastructure required to run our mesh computer. Essentially everything computes, everywhere. You simply need to “activate” computes on your machines. Interested in learning more about our evolutionary mesh computing technology, simply contact us (info@computes.com) for more details.

Stay tuned to this blog for more exciting information about our new technology stack and development progress! You can also reach us on Twitter, Facebook, and GitHub.
