The new distributed and decentralized version of computes.io mesh network supercomputer runs on any edge network. In fact, it meshes with other instances running on the same edge network or other edge networks as well as cloud implementations! The more cores the better :)

Here’s a video of an echo computation running on multiple computers whereby each computer is both a computes.io core and kernel (more details) — meaning that each node can perform computations for other machines as well as request computations from itself and other machines. Computes.io uses IPFSpubsub capabilities to create a signaling and messaging engine for distributing computations across the mesh network to any machine with available resources (more details).

The scale of computing necessitates a change in how we interact with computers. Most internet-connected computers, smart devices, and mobile devices are idle 80% of time. Computes organizes and harnesses the power of these idle processors to fulfill infinite compute requests.
