Comsysto Reply interns built a web solution for a charitable organization
Every summer Comsysto Reply recruits students from various Croatian tech universities to help them with the first steps in their work lives. The idea is that interns have a chance to work on a real-life project. They start from the beginning of the project and after completing their internship they can see the results in action.
One of this year’s clients is the association Mali Zmaj (eng. Little Dragon). Mali Zmaj’s purpose is to help children from families with low socioeconomic status by supporting them with donations of food, clothing, toys, and necessities for school. They aim to improve quality of life through activities and the support of both employed professionals as well as volunteers.
Interns worked on developing a web solution for the association’s users, called ‘’Vila rođendanka“ (eng. Birthday Fairy), which tracks the status of the donations that they receive and makes sure that each child gets their birthday gifts on time.
“My responsibility in the team was to construct the application’s backend, which included developing and migrating the database as well as fetching the essential functionality and data for the frontend. Comsysto Reply is a place where you will learn a lot, be able to ask practically anyone for help with problems and work on projects that you are passionate about.”

Teams working on the Mali Zmaj project researched, developed, designed, tested a functional solution and added the infrastructure in the cloud. They were also part of the client communication, cost and timeframe evaluation, and project evaluation, with a focus on overall development as well as user experience and accessibility solutions.
‘’The project we were working on together with Comsysto Reply was establishing a modernized and more efficient way to help keep track of our children’s birthdays, their donators and received gifts, establishing a database of children as well as donators, making communication on both sides easier. All that is possible with the help of the app that Comsysto Reply is developing. We are thankful for the great cooperation with Comsysto Reply and having the patience and time for our busy schedule, always being ready to check in on us if everything is working fine, all issues so far were very quickly resolved”
