In college life, experiencing a world outside of one’s day to day activities, which is full of commitments, hassles, meetings, deadlines and doing things in a creative manner is not only important but imperative. If only we could get this opportunity in the early days of our college life we could do wonders later on.

Comunev, a social networking company, manages different interest-based communities and aims to connect like-minded people. We saw an opportunity to create a two-way road. One, in which students can get some valuable experience of working in an organisation and secondly, it could help the company to increase its reach in acquiring enthusiastic and curious candidates for its projects.

Hence, we started a College Ambassador Program which can be the interface between us and the prospective college ambassadors. But we wanted to do it in a different manner. We didn’t want our ambassador to be fooling around themselves that they are a part of an organisation and yet aren’t learning anything from it. To be more unique and innovative we thought of dividing a month-long internship into four weeks of learning, engaging and building a network. These are;

1. Marketing Week

Here, the ambassador will get to know the world of social media & marketing and how it works. Improving their marketing and social media handling skills as well as promoting our company’s vision is what drives this week. We want them to be aware of the power of networking and how they can contribute to our aim of connecting like-minded people.

2. HR Week

Now, ambassadors are given the opportunity to become a little professional. Ambassadors are asked to recruit other ambassadors by taking a telephonic interview for the program. This would make them more confident and skilled in communicating and interacting with others.

3. Event Week

The next step is to make you understand what we are and what we do? Here, you would be given the opportunity to manage and organise an event for us. This could make you learn a lot as you will get to know the in and outs of event management.

3. Research Week

At last, you will be given a small task to do market research and understand the basics of business analytics and research.

When talking to Ritik as to why he decided to do the campus ambassador project and how the experience has been so far, this is what he said- “When I decided to do the campus ambassador project I first researched how other companies do it because I wanted to do it differently. Actually, when I joined the Comunev EIR program, I really did not know anything about the corporate sector and when Tony provided me with the choices of projects, it included a variety of projects. I could choose any project but while scrolling the list I found the “college ambassador program” and I really did not know anything about it and I knew about other projects a little bit so to enhance my knowledge about that project, I decided to choose it.

You won’t believe that the experience has been wonderful so far. This is because the project is a mixture of actually all the other projects. While handling the college ambassador program you have to do everything from the HR work to the content creation work. So my experience in this project is quite fruitful and knowledgeable too.”

So if you want to learn many skills and want to create value for fellow students in colleges, then the Comunev Ambassador project is perfect for you. We believe you’ll love it as much as our ambassadors love the ambassador program.
